The Cultural Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Smolensk region hosted a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners and participants of the contest of children's drawing "My parents work in the police." The event brought together the children of police officers, their parents, as well as representatives of the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs (Yelena Ulyanenkova and Olga Gribkova) and employees of the regional administration.

Members of the Public Council noted the high artistic level, sincerity and attention to detail, stressing that each drawing is a warm words of pride for moms and dads who chose the profession of law enforcement. The winners and participants were awarded diplomas, letters of thanks and souvenirs.
The event ended with an informative excursion to the museum of the history of the Smolensk police, where the children were told about the stages of development of law enforcement in the Smolensk region and showed historical exhibits.
