On digital canvases there are images of ancient monasteries created by real masters: People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Dmitry Zhuravlev, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Yuri Yerishev, architect-restorer Grigory Stender and others.
Stender was one of the main restorers of Novgorod monuments and painted churches in a genuine, “working” state – before and after restoration. Therefore, his canvases are almost documents of the era: they can be traced as Novgorod was returned from the ruins after the war. The digital presentation provides a unique opportunity to see details that are easy to miss in a normal exposure.
