In Yaroslavl, the head of the “Young Paratrooper” proposed to perpetuate the memory of the lad Artemy

Andrey Palachev, the head of the military-patriotic club “Transporter” named after Leonid Palachev, appealed to the acting mayor of Yaroslavl Nikolai Stepanov with a proposal to perpetuate the memory of the Yaroslavl teenager who died during the rescue of a comrade, Artemy Shkunov.

We will remind, Artemy bathed with a friend in Kotorosli last summer. And when his friend began to sink, literally pushed the comrade out of the abyss of water. The teenager saved his life. He drowned himself. Artemia was pulled out by rescuers, doctors for more than a day fought for his life. But the teenager died.

Later it became known that Artemy was a very religious man. He served as a subdeacon of Metropolitan Vadim of Yaroslavl and Rostov. Metropolitan Artemius at the funeral service gave a feeling speech, telling about the high aspirations of the young man and his pure thoughts.

As Andrei Palachev noted, Artemiy was not in the ranks of the Young Paratrooper, he was not fond of military sciences and martial arts. But his actions showed great courage and dedication. Therefore, the head of the patriotic organization proposed to perpetuate the memory of the brave student with a memorial plaque on the wall of Gymnasium No. 1, in which the student studied.

On the wall of this gymnasium there are already memorial plaques in memory of the guards of Airborne Lieutenant Grigory Yurievich Sotnikov and the guards of Senior Airborne Lieutenant Glebe Andreevich Palachev. Both were pupils of the club "Young Paratrooper" and died during the SVO, fulfilling their military and officer duty.
