In Ugra, the film “Vusya Vulata” was created, which was included in the competition program of the IX Big Children’s Festival of Sergei Bezrukov – the picture will be shown in Moscow and St. Petersburg. The tape passed a strict expert selection and ahead of hundreds of works from around the world, securing a place in the festival poster.
In the story, two schoolchildren are lost in the taiga, and local Khanty residents come to their aid: their wisdom and hospitality help the children to see their native land in a new way. The main roles were played by Ugra schoolchildren - Evdokia Kolyvanova and Semyon Solovyov. Filming took place in the summer of 2025 in White Yar and the vicinity of Barsovo.
The name "Vusya Vulata" from the Khanty language is translated as a warm "Hello". The film became the winner of the competition of creative industries in 2024 and was implemented with the support of a grant from the Governor of Ugra.
