Master of Laws urged Tulyaks not to joke in comments on bank transfers

Tulyaks are at risk of being blocked by a bank card due to joking comments on money transfers. Even if the sender does not put anything suspicious in the signature, banking algorithms can pay attention to it, the Prime agency warned the Master of Laws, Associate Professor of the Department of State and Municipal Finance of the Plekhanov REU Meri Valishvili.

According to the expert, there is no single list of words that banks consider suspicious: each organization independently configures monitoring systems. Questions may arise from language related to illegal transactions. For example, the signatures “bribe”, “rollback” or “to the common” can attract the attention of algorithms that do not distinguish between humor and the real intentions of Tulyak senders.

Residents of the Tula region should also take into account that regular transfers to one person with the same comments - for example, "for manicure", "for housing" or "under contract" - are not prohibited in themselves. However, in combination with frequent receipts or the same amounts, they can become a reason for additional verification by the bank.

With frequent translations, Meri Valishvili recommends that Tulyaks leave the comment field blank. If the transaction has legal significance, it is better to indicate the full details of the document. For regular fees within the team, the expert advises to use special forms in banking applications, where you can indicate the purpose and amount of payment.

Earlier, “MK in Tula” wrote that a resident of the Tula region could not write off the debt of about 1.57 million rubles through bankruptcy. Tulyak filed a statement in February 2025, but shortly before that he issued 26 loan agreements in banks and microfinance organizations - from November 11, 2024 to January 3, 2025. At the same time, the man already had two outstanding loans totaling almost 1 million rubles.
