Convicted persons are provided with guaranteed work in the Kirov region
In the region, the practice of concluding deferred labor contracts with citizens serving sentences is gaining popularity

7 convicts have already signed such agreements with enterprises that have expressed their willingness to wait for new employees to work until their release.
The essence of the deferred contract is that the date of actual commencement of employment duties is postponed to the future. The document becomes effective within 30 working days after the citizen leaves the walls of the correctional institution.
A similar agreement was recently formalized in the Kirov remand prison No. 2 with a convict who is in a household service unit.
Deputy head of SIZO-2 of the regional Federal Penitentiary Service Viktor Smolnikov explained that this approach effectively solves 2 tasks simultaneously: it covers the personnel needs of local industries and provides freed people with a guaranteed job with a stable income.
The organization of employment of persons serving sentences is carried out with the constant participation of regional employment centers.
Correctional institutions regularly organize job fairs and consultations with personnel specialists, where citizens are explained in detail the mechanism for signing deferred contracts and prospects for further professional activities at local enterprises.
According to the regional employment service, most often candidates are offered working specialties, for example, vacancies for loaders.
Nevertheless, the situation on the labor market is gradually changing: organizations are increasingly ready to accept people with criminal records and more qualified positions, providing them with official registration and a full package of social guarantees.
This model of hiring performs not only economic, but also a key social function.
The early resolution of the issue of employment greatly facilitates the adaptation of a person after serving time and minimizes the likelihood of reoffending.
