Polymers are the future

This event is a specialized industry platform for demonstrating modern technological developments, production equipment, raw materials and innovative solutions.

This year, companies from Kazakhstan, China, Russia and Uzbekistan were presented at the exhibition. The participation of foreign manufacturers and suppliers creates additional prerequisites for strengthening interstate business ties, exchanging technological competencies and expanding the access of Kazakhstani enterprises to modern solutions in the field of polymer materials processing.

One of the key events of the exhibition was the official opening ceremony of Plastex Qazaqstan 2026, which brought together representatives of government agencies, industry associations, specialized organizations and the business community. The ceremony was attended by: Temirlan Urkumbayev - Director of the Department of Petrochemicals and Technical Regulation of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Sergey Minasyan - Director of Marketing and Sales of Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc.; Bakytbek Dzhumakulov - Chief Specialist of the Department of Internal Market Development of KMG PetroChem LLP; Pavel Beklemishev - Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of the Union of Machine Builders of Kazakhstan; Rinat Imashev - Head of the Almaty branch of the Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology; Maksat Zhvatorentov - Deputy Director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Exhibition.

In his speech, Temirlan Urkumbayev emphasized the important role of the Plastex Qazaqstan exhibition in the development of the petrochemical industry of Kazakhstan, noting that such professional platforms contribute to the strengthening of interaction between the state and business, the promotion of modern technologies, the development of domestic polymer processing and the formation of new production chains.

The exposition component of Plastex Qazaqstan 2026 covered the full production and technological cycle from raw materials and components to the production of finished products. The visitors were shown technologies and equipment for polymer processing, automation systems and peripheral equipment, molds and technological equipment, composite materials, polyurethanes, rubber and rubber products. A separate direction was devoted to solutions in the field of 3D printing, expanding the possibilities of applying modern production methods in various segments of industry.

A special place in the Plastex Qazaqstan 2026 program was taken by the business component, focused on the strategic objectives of the development of the polymer industry, deepening the processing of petrochemical raw materials and strengthening national production and value chains.

Another important event of the program was a plenary session on the topic “Polymer industry of Kazakhstan: from the launch of petrochemical production to high-processing products”, dedicated to the prospects for the further development of the domestic petrochemical complex and the transition to the production of products with a higher degree of processing.

The expert dialogue continued with the thematic session “Modernization of housing and communal services through polymer solutions: development of pipe production and localization of infrastructure projects”, as well as the workshop “Development of environmentally safe hybrid composite coatings for roofs with increased weather resistance, waterproofing, chemically resistant and physical and mechanical properties”. Their content covered the possibilities of expanding domestic production, introducing new materials and strengthening cooperation between the enterprises of the polymer industry, the automotive industry and the construction sector.

The experts were also united by the special session of KPI “Development of polymer processing in Kazakhstan: commercial solutions and special programs of KPI” and the session “Economics of plastics processing in Kazakhstan”.

As the first integrated gas chemical complex, KPI Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries Inc. is the general partner of Plastex Qazaqstan 2026.
