How the internal state is related to the disease: a reflexologist about cancer and emotions

The question of whether it is possible to fight cancer from the inside is of interest and remains relevant around the world. About the possible psychological causes of the disease, cellular “antennas” that catch thoughts, and stories from their own practice, the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti” told the reflexologist of the 17th city children’s clinical clinic Marina Saklakova.

Oncological diseases occupy the second place in the world mortality statistics, second only to cardiovascular diseases. Cancer often causes fear in people, because there is no universal cure, no one gives guarantees of recovery, and many treatment methods can not be called careful for the body. Both surgery, which inevitably damages tissues, and chemotherapy can be accompanied by serious side effects. However, what if there are not only external ways of healing and the disease can be fought from within?

For modern society, it is no secret that emotional and psychological state can affect well-being. M. Saklakova for many years is convinced of the seriousness and sometimes destructive power of internal experiences. Her experience and methods of work are impressive, but the topic of oncology requires special attention.

- Based on her clinical experience, she gradually formed her own idea of the psychological causes that can accompany the occurrence of cancer. Observing and analyzing, I found that many patients somehow affected the emotional component, said M. Saklakova. In my practice, when I ask a sick person about previous events in his life, I often encounter a traumatic situation or circumstances.

Stages of emotional destruction

Her personal observations allowed her to group emotions into four categories, each of which she believes reflects an increasingly deep-seated inner distress. It usually starts with a strong resentment of the circumstances or the other person. This is what becomes the first stage.

- The second stage begins when the resentment brings with it a whole tangle of emotions. It can be unexpressed anger, self-pity, repressed rage and other repressed feelings. The most important factor is guilt: a person accuses himself of allowing this into his life, can not understand the situation and cope with his experiences, the interlocutor explained.

The presence of deep disappointment in oneself and one’s own life signals a third stage. Here the patient completely devalues himself, all his achievements and life in general. Invisibly behind the disappointment comes the final, most destructive stage.

- The fourth stage is the loss of joy and meaning in life. The experience so much damages the perception of the human world, which leads to the feeling that life is meaningless and joy is no more, concluded M. Saklakova.

Moreover, according to the specialist, benign education is a frozen, dense residue of the experience that has already lost its strength, but is still present. A malignant tumor, on the other hand, is an intensely bubbling emotional pain, a resentment materialized in the uncontrolled growth of cancer cells.

Thought guide

If the reader still doubts the relationship between emotional state and health, modern research on the effects of stress on the body may force him to rethink his view of his own well-being. Some scientific articles indicate the presence in tissues and cells of peculiar antennas that react not only to chemical and nutrients, but also to energy of various nature, including the energy of thoughts.

- Cells are equipped with small “antennas”, “sensors” that capture the energy of light, sound and other types of waves, including the energy of our thoughts. Professor of medicine, molecular biologist Bruce Lipton has been studying the principles of quantum mechanics and the influence of consciousness on genes and human health in general for many years. His book is The Biology of Faith. How the Power of Belief Can Change Your Body and Mind is about the relationship between body, mind and spirit.

When interacting with energy fields, the receptor antennae vibrate. If external oscillations are synchronized with the antenna, charge redistribution occurs in it, as a result of which the cell can be deformed.

Shock and Catastrophic Protest: Stories of Patients

In the personal practice of M. Saklakova, patients with cancer are rare. Rather, these are isolated cases when people come on their own initiative.

- As a reflexologist, I could not take them on a course of treatment, since in oncology all methods of reflexology are contraindicated. But I considered it my duty to talk with these people, because I felt the desire to help and better understand whether there is a connection between the emotional component of a person’s life and the oncoprocess, the doctor explained.

The first specialist remembered a woman who was tasked with creating a large working structure with the prospect of leading the project and becoming its leader. It took several years of hard work, but when it came time to reap the benefits, it turned out sad.

- She put a lot of energy, energy and inspiration into creating this structure. But when it was time to open and everything was ready, she was not appointed director. The woman was so shocked and confused that literally after a short period of time she was diagnosed with cancer, — said the interlocutor.

During the conversation, M. Saklakova determined that these emotions were not released: inside the woman still felt tension and outrage because of the injustice that had happened. The third stage, according to the expert, was obvious - a deep disappointment and loss of joy.

- Another telling case: a man of mature age, about 60 years old, was forced to go to a new job. The new job severely limited the freedom he was used to. In the new structure, he had to obey people who, being younger, he certainly would not have obeyed. The man valued the work and did not want to lose it, but the internal contradiction was catastrophic for him, the interlocutor explained.

This led to a huge sense of rejection. The man accused himself of having to endure everything and could not cope with the situation. Inside settled a deaf yearning: he was deeply disappointed because of the circumstances and could not accept them. He was subsequently diagnosed with stage four esophageal cancer, a severe disease in which the tumor can spread to neighboring organs and give distant metastases.

- This patient came to me, we talked a lot, and together we looked for a view of what had happened that would help neutralize destructive thoughts and emotions. In the end, he was able to let go of resentment and look at the people who commanded him from a completely different angle. He realized that no one’s opinion could distort his view of himself as a bright, strong, independent person. At the same time, the volume of the tumor, which seemed critically large, began to decrease, the specialist said.

Of course, the patient underwent chemotherapy, but coordinated work on himself, his emotions, finding the right view of the situation and realizing that the behavior of the abusers is not able to humiliate his dignity, eventually helped him cope with the disease. The man managed to recover, despite such a severe, progressive fourth stage of cancer.

“The events that happen around you are just events.”

Human existence is very complex and involves many different circumstances – we do not come to this world just to lie on the couch. Throughout our lives, we try to explore ourselves from all sides, planning, building and controlling our future. M. Saklakova is convinced that human destiny is also to become stronger than negative circumstances and remember that real joy, integrity and happiness do not always depend on external causes.

- Sometimes it seems that life has deprived us of something important, undeservedly hurt or struck a blow. But what happens around them is just events. Only we choose how to respond to them. That’s why it’s so important to maintain an inner footing and not allow circumstances to fully determine our relationship to ourselves and our lives. If something very destructive happens to you, then try to find an opportunity for growth and development, even if it seems that absolutely everything is against you.
