19-year-old yoshkarolin received a fine for dodging the draft

Yoshkar-Ola city court heard the case of a local resident accused of evading conscription. The 19-year-old passed a medical commission and was officially recognized as fit for combat service. Having received summons, he was obliged to appear in the military commissariat for further conscription activities. However, in the period from October 2025 to January 2026, as well as in the following months, the young man defiantly ignored the challenges of the department.

At the same time, the conscript had no legal grounds for deferment or release from the army. Documents confirming the valid reasons for non-appearance, he also did not provide.

During the trial, the guy fully admitted guilt and sincerely repented of what he had done. Taking into account the candid confession, the court sentenced him to a monetary fine of 50,000 rubles, the joint press service of the Mari El courts reports.

The sentence has not yet entered into force.
