24-year-old russian football player tragically killed in car accident

The press service of Barnaul “Polymer” reported the death of the player Daniel Winter in a traffic accident

According to reports, the tragic death of the athlete occurred on Thursday.

The official statement of the club emphasizes that the Barnaul Football Federation, the leadership of the Polymer team and the entire football community offer sincere condolences to Daniil’s relatives, close people, friends and sports comrades.

According to the publication “Altai Sport”, the road incident occurred on the evening of October 15 on the Chui tract near the village of Troitskoe. The footballer was traveling by car from Biysk to Barnaul. Because of the slippery roadway, the car skidded, which led to a collision with the road fence. Daniil Winter, who was driving, suffered a severe traumatic brain injury and died in the arms of his friend and teammate Egor Parshakov, who, in turn, refused medical care.

At the time of the tragedy, the athlete was 24 years old, he acted as a striker. During his professional career, he defended the colors of Barnaul Dynamo, Polymer, Mias Torpedo, and Novotroitsk Nosta.
