4 serious accidents in Mari El per day: killed 18-year-old and 14-year-old drivers
On Saturday, October 17, four accidents involving young drivers occurred in Mari El, two of them died.
At about one o'clock in the morning from Friday to Saturday on the fourth kilometer of the Sernur-New Torjal highway, on a rounded section of the road came off the roadway and overturned Nissan Almera. The 18-year-old driver died on the spot, his peer-passenger was sent to the hospital with injuries.
In the third hour of the day on the fourth kilometer of the road Pernyangashi – Sukhino – Troitsky Posad in the Gornomarisky district collided motorcycle Kayo and moped Alpha. The bike was driven by a 14-year-old teenager, a moped by a 13-year-old, and a passenger was also riding a moped. All three eventually went to hospital with injuries.
The Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Mari El conducts an inspection to clarify the circumstances of the accident, including the legality of the transfer of high-risk means to minors.
At 18:40, at the house of 16 on Gagarin Street in Kozmodemyansk, a Geely Monjaro car and a motorcycle with a 16-year-old driver who was injured failed to disperse. Investigators also establish all the circumstances of the incident.
At the same time, on the 100th kilometer of the Vyatka highway in the Medvedev district, a Renault Logan car and a pitbike under the control of a 14-year-old girl collided. She died on the spot, the Republican State Traffic Inspectorate reported.
A criminal case was initiated on the grounds of traffic violations and the operation of transport, which caused the death of a person by negligence, the TFR reported.
