Rich couple abused 21 children locked in their home for more than a year
In California detained 66-year-old Guojun Xuan and 39-year-old Silvia Zhang

In California detained 66-year-old Guojun Xuan and 39-year-old Sylvia Zhang. They are accused of abusing 21 children. That's what the NY Post says.
The children, aged between two months and 13, lived in the couple's mansion. According to the investigation, they were kept in captivity. They studied at home during the day. During classes, they were forbidden to get up, for disobedience threatened with beatings. The nannies hired by Xuan systematically physically abused the children.
More than 30 security cameras were installed in the house. One of the recordings shows Xuan demanding that the babysitter beat the baby harder, but leave no trace. He then joined the beating himself. At night, the man checked the beds of children with a flashlight and beat those who did not sleep.
Law enforcement officers also found the remains of a cremated child in the mansion. Los Angeles County Attorney Nathan Hochman called the case unprecedented. He noted that children did not go to school or playgrounds, but lived in the house and witnessed violence in kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms.
Xuan was charged with conspiracy to commit a crime and child abuse. Zhang is accused of aiding her husband. After the release, the children were afraid to go to the park. Now they are under the care of the relevant department.
