More than 378 million rubles gave Kostromics to cyber criminals since the beginning of the year

Since the beginning of the year, 378 people have become victims of Internet criminals in the region, while in the last week alone the list of victims has been replenished with nine more residents.

The total financial damage exceeded 368 million rubles, an increase of 12.4 million over the past 7 days.

Fraudsters use a wide range of pretexts: from blocking transactions and declaring funds to assisting in “catching criminals”, ordering goods online and offering additional earnings. So, 66-year-old resident of Kostroma succumbed to the trick with a “safe account” and transferred more than 4 million rubles to scammers.
