More than a million rubles were stolen by fraudsters from a resident of Vologda

The victim of fraud was a 22-year-old Vologzhan. He received a call from an unknown number and was informed of the need to extend the validity of the SIM card, which allegedly expires. To do this, the young man dictated the code from the SMS message.

Then another unknown person called him. They said that the attackers took possession of an account on the portal “State Services” and issued a loan on his behalf. The victim was asked to go to the bank and withdraw all savings from the accounts in order to transfer them to a “safe account”.

The applicant did everything that was required of him. He transferred 1.3 million rubles of his own and credit funds. A criminal case has been opened on this fact.
