Former chief veterinarian of agricultural enterprise in Dzerzhinsky district convicted of receiving bribe

The court of Dzerzhinsky district convicted 53-year-old former chief veterinarian of the agricultural enterprise, finding him guilty of receiving a bribe in the amount of $ 8 thousand. This was reported in the Prosecutor General’s office, writes sb.by.

It was established that the accused, during a personal meeting with the director of a commercial organization, agreed to receive a bribe for the choice of this organization during the procedure for the purchase of veterinary drugs in the future. The man also promised assistance in repaying the resulting accounts payable. In fulfillment of the promise, he ensured the calculations by the agricultural enterprise for veterinary drugs previously supplied to him by a private company.

Subsequently, on February 3, 2026, he, acting through other persons unaware of his criminal activities, received on the territory of Dzerzhinsk from the director of a commercial organization as a bribe $ 8 thousand, which he disposed of at his discretion.

In court, he admitted his guilt in part, but voluntarily paid the proceeds of crime.

Taking into account the evidence presented by the public prosecutor, the Dzerzhinsky District Court ruled a conviction. On the basis of Part 2 of Art. 430 of the Criminal Code, the former chief veterinarian was sentenced to imprisonment for a term of five years with serving in a correctional colony under enhanced regime with a fine of 1,000 basic values (45 thousand rubles) with deprivation of the right to hold positions related to the performance of organizational, administrative and administrative duties, as well as with the commission of legally significant actions, for five years.

The preventive measure in the form of bail, previously chosen against him, has been changed to detention in the courtroom. In addition, on the basis of Part 1 of Art. 46-1 of the Criminal Code, the court applied a special confiscation of the object of the crime: the money received by criminal means was turned into the state revenue.

The sentence has not entered into legal force, can be appealed and appealed on appeal.
