The Kalininsky district court of St. Petersburg sentenced a resident of the Leningrad region to one year and one month of correctional labor for the illegal sale of knives. The man put up on the website ads “case for telescopic baton” for 3999 rubles, but in fact sold the baton itself. This was reported in the joint press service of the courts of St. Petersburg.

From February to March 2026, the seller placed an ad from his home in Telman. The buyer was a participant of the operational-search event. The man sent a metal folding baton in a fabric case by mail and received 3680 rubles for it. The examination confirmed that the object belongs to cold weapons of shock and crushing action.

The defendant fully admitted guilt, repented and helped the investigation. The court appointed him correctional work with the retention of 5% of earnings in the state income. 3,680 rubles received from the sale were also confiscated.

Earlier in the village of Annolovo Leningrad region detained a 52-year-old man who during a drunken quarrel with his wife shot a gun into the wall of the house. His 68-year-old mother-in-law went to the police. During the inspection, the man found a whole arsenal: two mortar mines, five fuses, a Makarov pistol and ammunition from the Great Patriotic War. Some of the weapons were suitable for shooting.
