A criminal case on the fact of infection of a woman with HIV was considered in the Cherepovets city court. In the dock was a 39-year-old local resident.
The man has known about his HIV status since 2018, when he was diagnosed and warned of criminal liability for infecting others. From October 2019 to May 2023, he repeatedly had unprotected sexual contact with a woman born in 1972. She knew nothing about the diagnosis. She was eventually infected. Now the woman is undergoing treatment and is on dispensary registration.
The man was found guilty and sentenced to three years in prison. At the same time, he committed the crime before the previous sentence in the criminal case. On a combination of crimes, he was imprisoned for 16 years with a restriction of liberty for two years.
4400 thousand rubles were recovered in favor of the Shrelovka as compensation for moral damage.
