Cherepov resident arrested for beatings and chaining stepson with handcuffs to battery

Cherepovets city court detained a 38-year-old local resident. A man is suspected of committing crimes: torture against a minor, illegal deprivation of liberty, not related to his abduction, against a minor.

According to the materials, from February 2025 to September 2026, the suspect, while in an apartment at his place of residence in Cherepovets, systematically caused physical and mental suffering to the son of his partner - a boy born in 2013.

Using minor reasons, the man beat the child. For a long time, the defendant attached the child’s handcuffs to the battery. Due to age and physical development, the victim could not resist.

In late September, a criminal case was opened on this fact, on the same day the suspect was detained.
