According to the portal CNA, in the Parliament of Albania there was a fight between deputies, the cause of which was the disagreement over the ongoing anti-government protests in the country.
Representatives of the opposition Democratic Party tried to block the work of the legislature, accusing the ruling majority of supporting a tough suppression of protests. They were confronted by deputies from the ruling Albanian Socialist Party. After the brawl, representatives of the ruling force demanded the temporary suspension of 20 opposition parliamentarians, accusing them of obstructing the activities of the parliament.
The unrest in Tirana continues for the tenth day in a row: they began on October 13 during a student rally outside the Ministry of Education, whose participants demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama. Before the clashes began, anti-government rallies took place in Tirana for more than 130 days in a row related to the project of building a resort in the protected area of Viosa Narta on the Adriatic coast.
Earlier it was reported that in Albania, the police used force against the crowd of protesters.
