The ex-director of the Belgorod kindergarten fraudulently received 21.5 million rubles

The former director of a preschool educational institution in the Belgorod region appeared in court for a fraudulent scheme, according to which, together with an accountant, she received more than 21.5 million rubles from the state budget. She was found guilty under Parts 3 and 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Fraud”).

The court found that from February 2022 to September 2025, the woman, together with an accountant, issued fictitious orders to encourage subordinate employees. After transferring money to the accounts of employees, she demanded their return. The defendant gave half to the accountant.

So they stole more than 21.5 million rubles from the municipal budget. At the preliminary investigation stage, the ex-director agreed to cooperate with the investigation and compensated for the damage caused.

The woman received six years of probation with a probation period of three years. The ex-director was fined 4.8 million rubles with a ban on holding positions in the state and municipal service for a period of three years.
