Ex-deputy general director of Beloblvodokanal received 10 years in prison for a bribe

The Old Oskol court of the Belgorod region appointed 10 years of a penal colony to the former deputy general director of Beloblvodokanal for a bribe. It was established that from October 2023 to February 2024, the accused received more than 23.8 million rubles from the legal entity that was engaged in the overhaul of the sewer. For this money, the company was treated softer and freely accepted construction and installation work.

The defendant was found guilty under Part 6 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“receiving a bribe in an especially large amount”). He was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment in a correctional colony of strict regime, a fine of 23.8 million rubles with deprivation of the right to hold positions in the civil service and in local self-government bodies for a period of 10 years.

The verdict was appealed by the prosecutor's office.
