Firm in Volgograd was convicted of creating a landfill with damage to 2.7 billion rubles
The Lower Volga Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor completed the inspection of the MOLOT company in Volgograd and Svetloyarsk district – it was initiated due to numerous complaints from residents.

The company leased four plots without bidding for an investment project for the production and storage of building materials, and also undertook to improve the adjacent territories, but did not fulfill its obligations.
The inspectors found that under the guise of implementing the project, the company illegally placed construction waste in beams and ravines without the necessary environmental expertise. Laboratory analyses revealed excess concentrations of iron, sodium, aluminum, magnesium, potassium, zinc, calcium, cobalt, sulfates, chlorides and petroleum products in the soil. In addition, the company issued fictitious acts on waste disposal in order not to pay for the negative impact on nature.
The amount of accumulated waste was significant: on the street. Chopin - almost 97.6 thousand tons, on the Aviator highway - more than 36.2 thousand tons, per street. Schiller - more than 2.4 thousand tons. The total damage to the environment exceeded 2.7 billion rubles.
Rosprirodnadzor has taken measures to eliminate violations - the situation remains under control. The inspection materials were transferred to law enforcement agencies.
