GPC: a foreigner tried to travel to Poland on the document sister

The foreigner presented a foreign document to the Belarusian border guards, intending to enter Poland with it. This was reported in the State Border Committee, writes sb.by.

On the evening of October 8, a girl arrived at the Brest checkpoint and presented a passport of the Republic of Mali for inspection, which caused suspicion among the border guard. Check established that the document does not belong to the owner. The perpetrator was a Mali national. According to her, she could not enter the European Union on her passport due to the lack of a visa. In this regard, the girl borrowed a document for crossing the border from her cousin and tried to go to Poland for further travel to France, the statement said.

The intruder is now in custody. Administrative proceedings have been initiated for attempting to illegally cross the border. In addition to a large fine of up to 100 basic values, she faces criminal liability for using a knowingly forged document.
