Due to speeding in an accident on the highway M-12 in Murom killed people

Murom city court sentenced 21-year-old resident of Chuvashia. In the summer of 2026, traveling from the republic to Moscow in a VAZ 2114 car, he was carrying three colleagues. On the highway M-12 "Vostok" in the daytime, the driver significantly exceeded the speed. When maneuvering from the right lane to the left, he did not calculate the interval and rammed the left rear part of the MAN truck going in front.

Two passengers of the domestic sedan died on the spot. Guilt in violation of traffic rules, resulting in the negligence of the death of two or more persons (part 5 of article 264 of the criminal code), the convict admitted in full. The court imposed a sentence of four years of forced labor in a correctional center with deprivation of the right to drive transport for 2 years 6 months. The sentence has not entered into force.
