Kirovchanka gave couriers fraudsters almost 10 000 000 rubles
The attackers used a multi-step scheme of deception, which began with a call from an imaginary employer

On the mobile phone of 32-year-old Kirovchanka called an unknown woman, who called herself an employee of the personnel department of a trade organization, where the victim previously worked. The caller said that the work experience of Kirovchanka is not included in 2 months, which is why the woman allegedly needs to take a certificate in the pension fund.
Under the pretext of clarifying the information, the interlocutor convinced the victim to confirm the personal data, and then interrupted the conversation.
Soon, a resident of the regional center received a notification of unauthorized access to her account on State Services and leakage of personal information.
Almost immediately, the citizen was contacted by a person posing as a representative of the national anti-terrorist committee. A stranger threatened a woman with criminal liability, reporting suspicions of financing extremist activities.
Being under psychological pressure, the Kirov resident admitted that more than 9 million rubles were stored in her bank accounts.
Then a false employee of the department developed a new legend, stating that unscrupulous employees of the financial organization, who allegedly give customers fake banknotes.
The caller convinced the townswoman to take part in the operation to expose them. According to the plan developed by the scammers, Kirov was required to cash the entire amount and transfer it to couriers for examination.
The interlocutor assured that the original banknotes will be immediately returned to the owner, and the Central Bank will compensate for possible counterfeits through insurance.
Acting on the instructions of the fraudsters, the victim came to the bank, withdrew 9,805,000 rubles from the accounts and handed all the cash to two strangers at the designated place, preliminarily naming a conditional password.
Immediately after the transfer of money, communication with the curators was cut off, and all correspondence in messengers was deleted. Realizing that she was deceived, Kirovchanskaya appealed for help to the police.
Investigative authorities opened a criminal case on the fact of fraud on an especially large scale in accordance with part 4 of article 159 of the criminal code.
The regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reminded residents of the need to be vigilant when calling from unknown numbers and not to follow the instructions of unauthorized persons.
The law enforcers stressed that if any suspicious instructions are received, including allegedly from managers or official departments, contact should be immediately interrupted and the information should be double-checked through official channels.
