Krasnodar region headed the anti-rating of victims in road accidents in Russia

Krasnodar Territory, Moscow and Rostov regions became leaders in the number of deaths in road accidents from January to September 2026, follows from the materials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

According to the Agency, for nine months of this year in the Krasnodar region in accidents killed 462 people. In the Moscow region, this figure was 423, in Rostov — 347.

The top five of the anti-rating also included St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region, where 328 dead were registered, and Bashkiria – 248. These regions have been among the most disadvantaged in terms of severity of road accidents for several years.

In total, in Russia for eight months of 2026, 9,171 people died in an accident. This is 913 less than in the same period of 2025.
