Krasnoyarsk beast recorded attacks in the table and compared the consequences with the news

The letter "r" in the table of Vadim Ershov meant wound, "t" - death. He noted the circumstances of the attacks, and then in newspapers and television news to find out whether the victim survived. In the autumn of 1995, after Ershov’s arrest, this list, knives and other people’s passports were found in his apartment. The records helped investigate past crimes and re-examine cases against others.

On the notebook, Ershov assigned seven columns to the serial number, the time of year, the weapon of attack, the nature of the damage, the gender of the victim, the place and year of the crime. For the instruments of crime he used letters. A detailed description of the table "MK" published in January 1999.

The co-court of “Labor” Lyubov Cancer told in a report about the court hearing: Ershov read newspapers, watched TV and returned to the scenes of the attacks. From a distance, he watched the work of the task force.

In May 1991, Ershov was drafted into the army. He served in the Far East. On April 30, 1992, after an assassination attempt on a colleague, he fled to Krasnoyarsk.

In the archival publication "MK" one of the first victims named 16-year-old student of vocational training. Ershov raped her on the banks of the Yenisei, the girl survived. Then, on June 28, 1992, he killed a 42-year-old catering worker.

In the following years, he attacked women of different ages, committed robberies and robberies. Among the dead were men. The crimes took place in Krasnoyarsk and its surroundings.

Ershov remained at large until the autumn of 1995. His arrest began with the screaming of a girl in the entrance.

On October 29, 1995, Ershov attacked a 16-year-old girl and tried to take her gold chain. The victim's screams were heard by relatives.

The escape attempt is described in detail: Ershov wounded the first man he met with a knife and fought off the second. He was stopped by a woman who struck a fire extinguisher. Then a police officer arrived. The detainee was taken to the Krasnoyarsk Railway ROVD.

Details of the detention in archival reports differ. "MK" wrote about a man with a fire extinguisher, "Kommersant" - about a woman who was protected by her husband, an FSB officer. All these reports link the capture of Ershov with the attack in the entrance and the intervention of people who came to the rescue.

The detainee first gave a false surname and claimed to live in basements. Later, he began to testify and told about the apartment where he kept the belongings of the victims.

The media listed what was found there: two knives, an old jacket, worn boots, passports. There was also a notebook with a list of attacks. Ershov called knives "feathers" and distinguished in the records.

State prosecutor Andrei Antsiferov later described how Ershov’s testimony was checked on the ground and the cases were consolidated.

In Divnogorsk, Ershov indicated the place of the murder of a woman in the yard. For her death, her husband was already serving a 10-year sentence, confessing to the crime. He was subsequently rehabilitated, Anciferov wrote.

For the murder of a schoolgirl in the Soviet district of Krasnoyarsk was accused of her classmate. When Ershov confessed, the case against the teenager had not yet reached the verdict.

Apart from Ershov’s record and testimony, the investigation received no other evidence. His story differed from the established setting. Anciferov recalled the judge's question: "How can you prove the murder committed?" Ershov told about the robbery nearby two hours before the murder. He's never been charged with this robbery before.

At the request of the prosecutor, an unsolved case was requested. The victim did not identify Ershov at first: the attacker was remembered higher and stronger. However, he described the attack and the contents of the purse, and the woman corroborated the testimony. Police officers identified him from the back.

The inspection concerned a neighboring robbery; a detailed assessment of all evidence of the Anciferov murder did not give. A classmate of the deceased was rehabilitated.

In September 1996, a group of the Main Military Prosecutor's Office joined the investigation. In September 1997, the case was sent to court, Anciferov wrote.

The material took 43 volumes. According to a report by Labor, the trial lasted eight months, and the verdict took a whole day. Ershov fully admitted guilt.

The court found Ershov guilty of killing 19 people. This result “MK” reported after cassation consideration. The number of attempts in the sources varies: "Kommersant" at the beginning of the process called seven, Anciferov - eight, "MK" after cassation - five.

On June 9, 1998, the Siberian Military District Court sentenced Ershov to death. Two days later, Kommersant published a message to RIA Novosti about the death sentence.

Ershov was found sane. During the sentencing he lost consciousness.

The defender appealed the sentence and asked to mitigate the punishment. According to MK, referring to the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, on 28 January 1999 the complaint did not change the decision: the death sentence was upheld and it entered into legal force.

The execution did not take place. Subsequently, the punishment was replaced by life imprisonment. In the publication “AiF Krasnoyarsk” dated July 24, 2026, the place of serving Ershov’s sentence was named the colony “Black Dolphin” in the Orenburg region.
