Resident of Bakhchisarai district found guilty of fraud with maternity capital for 400 thousand rubles

A resident of the Bakhchisarai district was found guilty of fraud with maternity capital for 400 thousand rubles. This was reported in the press service of the Prosecutor’s office of Crimea
According to the investigation, in October 2016, the woman decided to illegally cash out state support funds. To do this, she turned to a commercial consumer cooperative.
The scheme was standard for such cases. The woman issued a power of attorney, on the basis of which a land plot in the Volgograd region was purchased in her name. Then a fictitious loan agreement was issued - allegedly for housing construction.
With this document, the convict appealed to the Department of the Pension and Social Insurance Fund with an application to send maternity capital funds to repay the loan. As a result, 400 thousand rubles were transferred to the account of the cooperative. Some of the money was given to the defendant.
Illegal activities were stopped by law enforcement officers. In relation to the officials of the consumer cooperative, the investigation is ongoing.
The court sentenced the offender to three years of suspended imprisonment with probation for two years.
Earlier it was reported that in September 2026, the case of another local resident was sent to the Bakhchisarai District Court, which in 2016 through a credit and consumer cooperative cashed about 80% of the funds paid - she was charged with a fictitious loan and housing construction in the Volgograd region.
And in March 2026, a 60-year-old resident of the Kirov district received three years of strict regime – he searched for certificate holders and helped them draw up fictitious documents. As a result, 834 thousand rubles were transferred to the account of the cooperative, which were divided among themselves.
