Kursk rescuers called the version of the night fire in Zheleznogorsk

Specialists of the rescue department announced preliminary data on the fire that occurred in Zheleznogorsk, Kursk region. The fire in the apartment building occurred on the night of October 14.

The fire was caused by one of the rooms. The first alarm was struck by the residents of the apartment, who felt the smell of burning. Arrived at the scene, the crew of the 11th fire and rescue unit found that the source of the fire was a socket. At the time of the incident, a charger for an electric scooter was included in it, the regional department of the EMERCOM of Russia told.

The flames were extinguished. As a result, the wallpaper was burned, and the walls of the room were covered with soot. There are no casualties among the residents of the apartment.

Investigators of the state fire supervision are working on several versions of what happened. The main and most likely cause experts believe short circuit in electrical wiring.
