Kuryanin received a restriction of freedom for stealing a friend’s car

In the Zolotukhinsky district court of the Kursk region put an end to the case of theft. The story was told in the joint press service of the regional judicial system.

According to the materials of the investigative department, the case occurred on July 4 this year in the village of Buklyata of Zolotukhinsky district of the Kursk region. The defendant, along with his acquaintance, came to his mother to assist in repairing the fence. Without waiting for a friend, the man decided to use his car. The vehicle doors were unlocked and the key was in the ignition lock. The man took the driver's seat, started the engine and left in another car to the village of Zolotukhino, to his home.

The court qualified the actions of the hijacker under part 1 of Article 166 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal possession of a car without the purpose of theft). As a punishment, he was sentenced to restriction of freedom for a period of one year with the establishment of a number of additional prohibitions and restrictions, the press service said.

At the moment, the sentence has not entered into legal force and can be appealed in the prescribed manner.
