A 68-year-old woman from Kursk was called by an unknown person and introduced himself as a law enforcement officer. He said that she was accused of treason: allegedly on her behalf issued a power of attorney for tens of millions of rubles to send terrorists.
She took this absurd story seriously. Secretly, she bought a new phone at the request of the “law enforcement officer” and followed all his instructions.
The main task was to transfer all savings to the “declaration”. The fraudster explained: the money will take, check, prove that the woman did not send anything anywhere, and then return everything to a penny.
A stranger came to the victim’s house, called the password agreed in advance and took almost 2 million rubles, which the chicken woman collected in a package.
The realization came after the transfer of money: real law enforcement officers do not require the transfer of funds. With doubts, the woman went to the police - while continuing to talk to the fraudsters. They strictly prohibited her from entering the room. This time she disobeyed and entered the department.
After the conversation with the police, there was no doubt - the money went to the fraudsters. Even after filing the application, the criminals continued to call and frightened the violation of the terms of the “special operation”. The suspects are now being sought by operatives.
A few years ago, a woman had already become a victim of a similar scheme, but this time the experience did not help.
