Two Leopard Attacks on Humans in India

Two leopard attacks have been reported in India. A farmer and a two-year-old child were injured. This was reported by the Indian newspaper The Times of India.
The first case occurred in the village of Kankot. Farmer Rumal Maheda worked in the field. At this point, he was attacked by a predator. The man suffered severe injuries to his head, cheeks and hands. He was first taken to a hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was transferred to a larger medical facility for further treatment.
The second incident occurred after midnight in Umbri village. The two-year-old son of a migrant family from Maharashtra was sleeping on the street with his parents. The leopard grabbed the boy and dragged him about 200 meters. My parents woke up to the noise and raised the alarm. They started screaming and throwing stones. After that, the animal abandoned the child and disappeared into the bushes.
Forestry officers set traps in the vicinity. The goal is to catch the beast. Locals say wild animals often enter the area. This poses a constant threat to workers in the fields and children who play outside.
