Gang leader caught ordering murder of his member after 23 years

In St. Petersburg detained 56-year-old leader of the criminal group. He is accused of murdering a member of his gang in 2003. This was reported in the GSU IC of Russia in the city.

The investigation found that from January to March 2003, the defendant decided to kill one of the members of his gang. To do this, he met with the leader of another gang that operated in St. Petersburg and the Novgorod region. He agreed to single out four performers.

The customer, under the pretext of resolving the conflict, lured the victim to the village of Davydovo in the Novgorod region. On March 15, 2003, four attackers beat a man with bats. From his injuries, he died on the spot.

The suspect was detained in the city of Staraya Russa. He was taken to St. Petersburg and charged. The court sent the defendant into custody. The investigation is ongoing.
