The fire at the plant for the production of oriented particle boards in Tomsk has been completely eliminated. This was reported by the press service of the regional main department of the EMERCOM of Russia.
The fire occurred on Wednesday night. The fire engulfed drying equipment inside the plant. Initially, the area of the fire was 1 thousand square meters, later it increased to 3 thousand square meters.
According to preliminary data, no one was injured as a result of the incident.
The enterprise is located on the Kuzovlevsky tract and belongs to Monolit-Stroy LLC, which produces products under the Latat brand. This is the only plant for the production of OSP-plates in Tomsk.
Orientated particle boards are a sheet building material made from compressed wood chips with the addition of binder resins.
