Bear attacked a herd of horses near Novosibirsk
In the Hungarian district of the Novosibirsk region, a bear attacked the herd of two horses belonging to the agricultural enterprise Ust-Izesskoe

The incident occurred at the end of May. According to preliminary data, the bear came out of winter hibernation and went in search of food. Two horses were killed in the attack. After the information about the incident was received by specialists, hunters went to the place and eliminated the threat.
Local residents note that bear attacks on pets in the area occur regularly.
Also in the Vengerovsky district, a large bear was shot dead, which, according to the regional wildlife protection department, destroyed up to 40 head of cattle. The predator caused significant damage to the agricultural enterprise. This was told by the head of the department for the protection of wildlife and specially protected natural territories of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Novosibirsk region Semyon Doppler.
According to him, the bear was unusually large. Because of this, experts were unable to safely catch the animal and immobilize it with tranquilizers. In the end, the predator had to be shot.
“He was shot, but he probably weighed 500 kilograms,” Doppler said.
The expert also drew attention to the width of the paw of the bear, which, judging by the photo sent, could reach 30 centimeters.
“From the photograph sent to us, the paw was three packs wide. That is, it is 30 centimeters wide paw only, explained the interlocutor Sib.fm.
As Doppler noted, such cases show how serious damage large predators can cause livestock farms. A new attack on horses was another incident involving a bear in the Wengerovsky district.
Earlier, "MK in Novosibirsk" reported that the bear defeated the apiary on the outskirts of the village near Novosibirsk.
