The man wounded a young man and then barricaded himself in the apartment

Tver police detained a 42-year-old local resident suspected of attacking a young man. The reason for the arrival of the outfit was the statement of a 25-year-old Tver resident, who reported illegal actions by an unknown man.

According to preliminary data, the young man along with a friend was heading to the entrance, but an aggressive citizen prevented them from entering, the press service of the Investigative Committee for the Tver region reports. During the conflict, the attacker, acting from hooligan motives, wounded the victim with a knife in the area of the cheek. The young man needed the help of doctors - the ambulance crew took him to the hospital.

After the attack, the suspect took refuge in his apartment, located on the 9th floor of the building. In order to arrest him, PPS officers had to enter the dwelling.

A criminal case has been opened against the detainee on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The sanction of this article is punishable by imprisonment for up to seven years.
