Musician of the Bolshoi Theatre died in an accident in New Moscow

Soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre Orchestra Evgeny Stoyko died in an accident in New Moscow on Thursday evening. His car collided with a truck.

As it became known “MK”, the accident occurred at 23.10 on the 57th kilometer of the Kaluga highway. The 51-year-old was returning home in a Hyundai Creta car and collided with a BAW truck. The 44-year-old truck driver, a native of Tajikistan, suffered various injuries and was hospitalized. The driver of the Hyundai died on the spot.

Evgeny Stojko is a double bassist, for many years he played in the Bolshoi Theatre orchestra, winner of various international competitions. He raised two sons who were also active in music.
