Interior Ministry: in Sochi detained nanny for theft of 150 thousand rubles from the safe

In Sochi, criminal investigation officers uncovered theft from an apartment in the Central district and detained a 48-year-old nanny suspected of stealing 150 thousand rubles from the safe of the employer.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Krasnodar Territory, a local resident noticed the loss of money and first suspected a nanny she had recently hired. To test the hunch, she installed a hidden camera in the room.

The recording confirmed suspicions: the woman photographed the contents of the safe and the location of things, and after the theft returned everything to the place so as not to arouse suspicions.

According to police, during the week she managed to take 150 thousand rubles, and then spent the entire amount. Investigators opened a criminal case under part 2 of article 158 of the criminal code.
