On the roads of Tatarstan in 2234 accidents killed 244 people

During the nine months of 2026, 2234 accidents occurred on the roads of the Republic of Tajikistan, 244 people died. This was told at a press conference by the head of the traffic police Department of the Ministry of internal Affairs in RT Rustem Garipov.

There were 2,234 accidents in which 244 people died and 2,684 were injured.

Rustem Garipov said: 358 accidents involving children, killed 14 children, wounded 381 people. In comparison with 2025, the number of accidents increased by four, dead people – by three, wounded less by eight people.

More often it is child passengers who die, and for two years the increase in accidents with their participation is alarming. In 2026, 13 of the 14 children killed were passengers, Garipov said.
