At the transfer to the Ivanovo region, the train crashed into a passenger car

At 23:23 at the railway crossing near the city of Volzhsk, Ivanovo region, suburban electric train No. 7299 collided with a passenger car. The accident occurred at the ferry of Furmanov - Volgorechensk.

According to the Northern Railway branch, the motorist drove out on the way just in front of the approaching train.

The train driver immediately switched on emergency braking, but the braking distance was not enough to avoid impact. As a result of the accident, the driver of the car was injured.

Northern Railway says the incident did not disrupt the schedule of other trains.
