In the Stavropol region detained a man hiding from the investigation for 32 years

In the Stavropol Territory, the second stage of the federal operational and preventive measure “Rosysk” was held. Its purpose is the search and detention of suspects and accused hiding from the investigation and court, as well as the location of the missing, the press service of the regional SU TFR reports.

Every day, more than 400 employees of internal affairs bodies and representatives of public organizations participated in the operation. The location of 74 wanted criminals and 15 missing persons has been established.

One example of effective work was the detention of a suspect in intentional infliction of serious harm to health, committed 32 years ago in the Turkmen district. In 1994, a 24-year-old young man at a disco in a house of culture, during the conflict, struck a stranger three times with a knife in the chest and thigh, and then left the scene of the crime.

To avoid punishment, the suspect changed his surname, first name, middle name and place of residence, cutting ties with relatives. For a long time the crime remained unsolved. During the operational-search activities, the man was installed and detained in the Saratov region, where he was hiding all this time.
