In the landfill near Makhachkala extinguished the fire

The government of Dagestan informed about the complete elimination of the fire at the solid waste landfill located on the outskirts of Makhachkala, in Cherkes-Kutan.

According to the statement of the regional government, despite unfavorable weather conditions and gusty wind, employees of the administration of Makhachkala and the Ministry of Nature of Dagestan managed to complete the extinguishing work.

In the elimination of the fire involved 22 units of special equipment, including 12 cars "Kamaz", four excavators and bulldozers, as well as a loader and water carrier.

At present, the soil is being dumped at the site to prevent re-ignition.
