On the highway M-1 there was a fatal accident

According to the traffic police, the accident occurred about 18:10 on the 359th kilometer of the highway M-1 "Belarus" in the Kardymov district.

According to the investigation, the 58-year-old driver of the Mercedes Sprinter van did not show due attention to the traffic situation. As a result, he collided with a standing DAF XF95 Series truck with a Schmitz semi-trailer driven by a 37-year-old driver.

From the received injuries, the driver of the van died at the scene before the arrival of the ambulance crew.

Currently, law enforcement agencies conduct a detailed check to establish all the circumstances of the incident, including the reasons for the presence of a heavy truck on the roadway.
