On Vasilievsky Island in St. Petersburg, repair of heating networks was delayed. After repairing one of the damage, specialists discovered a new malfunction, due to which the heat supply to 75 residential buildings remains suspended. The information was confirmed by “MK in St. Petersburg” in the press service of JSC “Heat Grid of St. Petersburg”.
The first stage of repair on the 3rd line of Vasilievsky Island near the house No. 40 was completed on October 22 at 7:30. Power engineers replaced the five-meter pipeline with a diameter of 400 millimeters, laid in 1995. The work was delayed due to the complexity of dismantling the damaged area, next to which there are many electrical cables.
However, after the start of the heating system, experts identified a new defect. From 9:00 the repair continues at the house number 62 on the same line, where the supply pipeline with a diameter of 200 millimeters is damaged. The work is scheduled to be completed by 22:00 on October 22.
Heating in 75 residential buildings has been suspended. Hot water is served with reduced parameters, except for houses where this is technically impossible. After completion of the work, housing organizations will additionally notify about the need to connect buildings to heat supply.
