Charred ruins and the smell of burning: what a warehouse in Aksai looks like after a fire

At the site of a major fire in Aksai, its consequences are still visible. Smoke rises from the burned warehouse, and the smell of burns persists in the air near residential buildings. The situation on October 14 was assessed by the correspondent of DonDay.

The fire, which covered nine thousand square meters, managed to extinguish by morning. Now experts are engaged in spilling fires. This is necessary so that the smoldering structures do not flare up again.

The work is complicated by the condition of the building. To reach individual sites inside the warehouse, rescuers climb stairs and supply water through windows. Around there are charred structures, which draw the attention of local residents and passers-by. Some people stop to see the consequences of the accident.

In the area of the burned warehouse, restrictions on transport are still in place. Suvorov Street is closed to traffic. The Factory passage is partially blocked, since there is a fire truck that receives water from a hydrant.

Despite the elimination of open burning, work on the territory of the warehouse continues for the second day.
