Accused of the death of three pensioners driver sent to jail

The regional prosecutor’s office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the suspect from the Orel region was placed in custody until the investigation into the high-profile case was completed. He's 46.

At the crossroads of Tsiolkovsky streets and Yablochkov travel on the evening of October 23 in Ryazan, a Foton van and a Suzuki passenger car collided.

Three women were victims of the accident. Two others were injured, and the extent of their injuries varies. It turned out that the driver of the truck, which provoked the collision, was drunk at the time of the incident.

The man was charged with a violation of traffic rules by the driver, which by negligence led to the death of two people and was committed under the influence (paragraph "a" of part 6 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).

The judge of the October district court of Ryazan ruled on the arrest of a local resident from the Oryol region. At the moment, investigative measures in this criminal case are still in an active phase.
