In St. Petersburg laboratory confirmed the diagnosis of monkeypox in four people. All patients were hospitalized from an apartment in the Krasnogvardeysky district to Botkin Hospital.

According to SHOT, the condition of patients is estimated as medium severity. All have high fever and enlarged lymph nodes.

According to preliminary data, they were in contact with the source of infection.

We will remind, the day before a similar case occurred in the suburbs. Five residents of Zhukovsky — two siblings, a married couple and a citizen of Belarus — were also hospitalized with suspicion of the infection in the Ramenskoye hospital.

All were in contact with a possible source of infection on October 10. Unlike St. Petersburg patients, their diagnosis remains preliminary.
