The guy with the screwdriver stole five car sharing mopeds in Krasnodar

In Krasnodar detained a young man who stole five electric mopeds.

In the Central district of Krasnodar, a major theft was uncovered: five vehicles were stolen from a company that leases electric mopeds. The total value of the stolen exceeded 920 thousand rubles. About the disappearance to the police reported the representative of the company.

The incident occurred in the neighborhood of Dubinka. To get on the trail of the attacker, the operatives carried out a complex of search measures - including a detailed study of records from street surveillance cameras. As a result, it was possible to establish the involvement of a 20-year-old local resident who previously had no problems with the law.

As law enforcement officers found out, the young man acted quite primitively, but effectively: with the help of a screwdriver, he removed plastic parts of the body of electromopeds, and then closed the wires of the ignition lock - so it was possible to start the technique.

He kept the stolen mopeds in a garage cooperative. He did not have time to dispose of them, and the property was seized before it was taken away.

A criminal case has now been opened against the defendant. By law, he can face up to five years in prison, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Krasnodar reports.
