72-year-old resident of Miass became a victim of fraudsters and applied to the duty unit of the local Department of the interior. The woman said that she called a stranger who called himself an employee of Roszdravnadzor. According to the court, the pensioner is entitled to monetary compensation for low-quality dietary supplements purchased earlier. The woman believed that a few months ago she really bought dietary supplements.
For a month, she transferred money to unfamiliar accounts under various pretexts - paying legal fees, insurance premiums and other services to get the promised payment. As a result, the pensioner made six transfers and parted with more than a million rubles of personal savings. Compensation never came - then the woman realized that she was cheated and went to the police.
The investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Miass opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Fraud).
