Under the ceiling plafond foreign cars in the Lipetsk region tried to spend 1.6 kg of drugs

In the Lipetsk region detained a 25-year-old foreigner who was carrying more than 1.6 kg of methadone. The drugs were found in a Geely Coolray car stopped by traffic police on October 9.

According to the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, operatives received information about a large batch of prohibited substances and passed the orientation to inspectors. During the inspection of the car, the police found behind the front ceiling plafond, under the roof, seven plastic bottles with bundles. Inside was 1401 so-called bookmark with a synthetic drug.

According to preliminary data, the man was temporarily registered in Moscow and came to the Lipetsk region to distribute drugs. The investigation believes that he could perform the role of a wholesale courier and be associated with an ethnic criminal group.

A criminal case was opened against the detainee on attempted illegal sale of drugs on an especially large scale. During the investigation, the man was detained.

Police continue investigative actions and operational-search activities. They establish possible accomplices and circumstances of drug supply to the region.
